We fight against scammers and do our best to protect you!
Millions of people around the world today are looking for their soul mate on the Internet. Thousands of honest, educated and beautiful Ukrainian and Russian women want
to create happy families with Western men and thousands of Western men are looking for the same. But there will always be a small percent which, using the anonymity
given by the Internet, are deceiving some men from Western Europe or USA. Men scammed by dishonest women stop to believe that it is possible to find
a good, loving Ukrainian or Russian wife and quit.
It may seem like «mission is impossible». Less interested men less opportunities for honest women to find the right guy for marriage. Serious marriage
agencies that invest money into web-site development, offices, equipment lose their customers and business
We intend to warn you about phenomenon of International dating scam and we hope that the following information will reduce the amount of deceptive practices
which damage the reputation of international marriage agencies every day. Because, it is impossible to keep all databases of all these agencies clean from scammers.
No matter what checks any agency is doing, there is always a chance that one or two of them can slip through these checks. This has nothing to do with
the quality of an agency, but the simple fact is that no one can look into somebodys mind! But the good news is, that most of the times it is very
simple to detect if someone turns out to be scam.
It is important to note one detail: anyone can fall for a scam! Even the brilliant businessman, who is able to catch
many fraudulent acts, can be tricked if he is not familiar with the tactics used by scammers. When emotions are involved it is easy to be sentimental
and loneliness can be targeted by some dishonest people.
What is Scam?
First of all lets give a definition of scam:
SCAM is obtaining money by means of deception. We are concerned about those women who make this their practice, who are in the
business of scamming men.
According to the Oxford American Dictionary a scam is defined as: «A fraudulent scheme, especially for making money quickly» They also define a con
as: «To persuade or swindle after winning a persons confidence». So in other words, this is someone who is trying to do something
usually for monetary gain without you knowing their true intentions.
Some warning signs
of a Person who is trying to scam you.
These are only some indications that «may» mean you are being set-up for a scam. Taken by themselves they could be quite innocent, but these are the things
when you should be cautious or even suspicious:
- She is contacting you (most of the scammers look for their victim on (free) post-your-profile websites where men and
women freely can post their ad).
- She has no postal address or phone number to reach her (asking for personal information that you can check on her are not very
welcome to ask and she will try to avoid these questions, or tell you that this is not important for you to know).
- She avoids direct questions about her personal life, where she lives, home address, phone number, place of employment.
- Her letters do not sound as replies to yours, but seem general (if it is first or second letter it is ok
women usually have some prepared pieces of information about their life, character, but if the letter is written to you, you will find answers to your questions
anyway).
- She never replies your questions, and doesnt ask you about anything. If a woman is really interested in you, she
will ask a lot to see whether you are a good match.
- She falls in love with you after several letters. Even if you are a great guy its too fast. Until youve met
in person and spent time together, any claims of love should be suspect. Even if she seems genuine about it, you should seriously consider moving on to a more
rational, level-headed person who wants to take the time to get to know someone really well before making any type of commitment.
- She is too beautiful to be true though she can do some modeling and photos were taken by professional photographer;
you shouldnt suspect every beautiful girl to be a scammer or have false photos. Ask her to send additional photos that are not made in the studio.
- You are old enough to be her father. Lets face facts: Russian, Ukrainian and Eastern European girls do NOT prefer
much older men. Some do, sure, just like girls in every other country (older men are more financially secure, have stable life). But your chances of being scammed only increase
with the age difference. Often 60 year old men write to 20 25 year old girls, and thats just asking for trouble.
- Hints that Internet cafe is expensive for her. See standard scam scenario. Using Internet cafe can really be expensive for the woman.
But if she claims its costing her $50 $100 per month, you need to be suspicious.
- She is having money problems (lost her job, her mother/children need expensive medicine), and she can turn to only you for help
as she knows you love each other and are meant to be together soon. Its not appropriate at all in any culture to ask a stranger youve never
met to help you.
- She says she wants to learn English (or your native language) to be bale to communicate with
you when you come. Unless youve met in person and things are serious, you have no reason to be paying for her to study foreign languages. She will
have to learn English anyway, because she is going to live abroad.
- She avoids the subject to meet her in her country or tells you that she can better visit you.
- She needs more money for her (magic) visa (or tickets) to visit you because her own savings are not enough and a friendly
local travel office can help her with that. (Single Russian women NEVER can get a visa without your personal involvement and NEVER can get a visa to travel to (for
example) the US as a tourist. Magic visas are not existing!)Its a scam, no questions.
Important! Some scammers are becoming quite sophisticated, and theyll understand these warning signs and try to avoid giving them. However these scammers will not
waste their time with you, once they understand that youre knowledgeable about the process of marrying a foreign bride. Theyll wait for easier prey, especially
for those men who seem to be new at this. For example if you write to girls offering to «bring them to your country» for a visit,
your likely to be a target. The more clever scammers will never ask you for money themselves, theyll wait until you offer all by yourself. But still the
«hints» about money will be there. Theyll understand they need to ask you questions and reply to yours, and they will. But they wont keep
up this game forever dont offer to send them money, and all scammers will disappear eventually.
Anti-Scam Rules of how to avoid being scammed.
Follow it and youre safe!
- DO NOT SEND MONEY TO SOMEONE YOU DO NOT KNOW AND TRUST 100%!
DO NOT OFFER TO SEND MONEY to her to help with anything very few women would refuse, and then will see the easy way to «make» money.
- Dont mention money, your salary and possessions. You may mention that you have a stable financial position, but never say about
how much exactly you earn does she need it right now? She doesnt know prices in your country anyway
- Dont rush the relationship Take your time and get to know her. If she were a scammer she would not waste her
time on long drawn out targets. She needs to see some results right now.
- If you want to meet her, then go to her country! A single young Ukrainian or Russian woman will never get a tourist
visa to visit you in your country.
Too many men were caught up in a scam and lost great deal of money want to be one of them?
As long as you dont send money, you are not getting scammed, because a scammer only wants one thing, and that is your money!
The truth is that real scams are rare when dealing with legitimate dating agencies. Use dating agencies where you pay for corresponding and letter forwarding: dating net-works
care about their reputation, the agency checks their women-clients identity (so, you avoid possibility to write to a phantom woman), the agency translates and delivers
letters to women and do not charge them (so, you avoid possibility to be scammed by standard scenario); besides, you can always ask for advice, help and support.
If you are going to use services of a dating agency, avoid web-sites that do not accept payments for the services on-line. When you pay with the credit card,
your money «leaves a track».
